Preschool Director

Cadence Academy Preschool is a part of Cadence Education, an organization committed to excellence--and inspiration--in early childhood and elementary education in 180+ private schools across North America.   We are currently looking for an experienced and inspired Preschool Director for our growing preschool in Mauldin, South Carolina. Establish a safe, healthy, and welcoming preschool setting and oversee programs and activities to engage and educate young children Develop open lines of communication with staff, parents, and children--and conduct one-on-one meetings with parents to discuss each child's progress Build and support a qualified team of preschool educators to promote our superior reputation Meet and exceed financial goals and objectives Participate in marketing events, campaigns, and community relations Provide unparalleled customer service Ensure full compliance with corporate policies as well as federal, state, and company standards, regulations, and requirements including licensing, safety, and sanitation     RESPONSIBILITIES The ideal candidate for this position will possess high standards and believe that the care they provide is invaluable. We are seeking an Preschool Director who has demonstrated skills establishing effective relationships with staff, parents, and children. Your ability to build a solid future, both financially and in quality standards, will be challenged and rewarded.   This position requires excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills, as well as the ability to provide exceptional customer service.   Education and Curriculum Ensures successful implementation of approved preschool curriculum by providing and maintaining quality educational programs Maintains compliance with accreditation and state licensing requirements as well as all applicable state and federal laws, and preschool policies and procedures Extensive knowledge and understanding National and State Education Standards and maintaining the school at a level exceeding these standards Knowledge and experience of testing and curriculum implementation Practice effective counseling and advising of students and parents while fostering a safe learning environment Emphasizing student's achievement and create an environment that nurtures and promotes children's' development and well-being Knowledge and experience in grading policies and procedures Knowledge and experience in effective communication protocols Ensures environment maintains safe, organized, and meeting the high quality standards of Cadence Education Knowledge and experience in team processes for advancing learning outcomes Ability to manage a minimum staff of 25 to 20 employees   Leadership and Managing Performance Upholds company standards and set the example by consistently modeling professional leadership, management and instructional skills while interacting with others. Demonstrates consistency in words and actions. Clearly communicates preschool standards, guidelines, and preschool policies to all staff and stress their importance to the organization. Ability to train staff and oversee the completion of performance appraisals, supervise the development of individualized goals for staff's professional growth and development, as well as supervise the monitoring and evaluation of goal accomplishment.   Financial Management Analyzes financial profit and loss results, customer satisfaction measures, and other key performance data to make the best decisions for the success of our preschool Manages preschool to achieve and exceed planned financial and enrollment targets Operates within budget and demonstrates an understanding of the budgeting process Reviews budgets and attains budgeted objectives Continually seeks ways to manage and reduce expenses without sacrificing quality or service; balances profitability with priorities related to staff and our children and families Strong attention to detail and covers all information effectively and systematically Can interact internally with all levels of the organization, providing leadership, management and vision Can interact externally with current enrollment and prospect parents, external curriculum activities and vendors   REQUIRED SKILLS Proven leadership experience at an early childhood facility with multiple classrooms and programs Minimum of 5 to 7 years of hands-on childcare teaching experience Compliance with state licensing standards at a director level, including but not limited to criminal background screening and fingerprinting Minimum requirement of education/experience within one of the following: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university combined with 6+ months of experience in the group care of children - or - Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education - or - Associate's degree or equivalent combined with 1+ year in a supervisory position and 2+ years of experience in the group care of children. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
